CAMP: Digital Moviemaking for 6th-8th #32

    Grades 6-8

Make a sci-fi-inspired drama working as a movie crew.

Learn the basics of working together as a movie crew, operating a professional-level digital video camera (with microphones and lights), creating sets, directing actors, recording sound, editing scenes together, and for those so inclined, appearing on camera. We'll provide a script with just the right amount of wacky humor and sci-fi-inspired green screen backdrops. Everyone will have a chance to try out a variety of crew positions as the scenes are shot and edited. By the end of the last class, you'll know all about working with "pro-sumer" filmmaking equipment and a short drama will be “in the can." Families and friends are invited to a last day screening, complete with popcorn. The completed film will be uploaded to a special class online video album.  Tuition incudes all equipment and supplies.
